AEK Athens are officially football champions in Greece, after The Arbitration Court on Thursday rejected the PAOK appeal against the Sports Court decision to subtract three points from PAOK and give the three victory points to AEK in the game between the two clubs in March.
The “yellow and black” are champions after 24 years and they were waiting for the Arbitration Court decision to validate the championship standings so they can celebrate on Saturday in the last game of the season, according to the "GREEK REPORTER".
AEK are playing away from home against Apollo Smyrna on Saturday and the club have prepared a fiesta for winning the Super League 2017-2018 championship.
Thousands of fans will join the players in a rally from the Apollo stadium to the new AEK arena that is under construction in Nea Philadelphia, with the team holding the cherished championship trophy, the first after 1994.
